Freesky Canada Warranty Policy

(For purchases made on freeskyebike.ca by Canadian customers)

Every Freesky eBike sold in Canada is backed by our manufacturer’s comprehensive warranty for the original owner, covering manufacturing defects under normal use and proper maintenance in Canada.

All Freesky eBikes sold on this site are UL Certified in Canada from top to bottom, which is important for insurance compliance, electrical safety, and your peace of mind.

1. Warranty Period – Canada

For eBikes purchased directly from freeskyebike.ca and delivered within Canada:

  • Motor, Battery, Controller:

24 months from the date you receive the bike

  • Other Covered Components (see list below):

12 months from the date you receive the bike

This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable.

If you purchased your Freesky eBike from a third-party seller (for example, Amazon.ca or a local retailer), their own warranty policy applies and may differ from the Canadian policy on this site. Please refer directly to that seller’s terms.

2. Where the Warranty Applies

This Canadian warranty applies only to:

  • Products purchased new from freeskyebike.ca
  • Products delivered and used within Canada

For purchases made through:

  • Third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, other online marketplaces), or
  • Authorized offline retailers,

please follow the warranty or return policy provided by that specific seller. Freesky Canada will support with technical advice where possible, but coverage decisions and remedies will follow the seller’s terms.

  • Lack of basic maintenance
  • Normal capacity loss over time
  • Water damage, submersion, or exposure beyond normal riding conditions

Important:

This warranty provides replacement parts only. It does not automatically include labour for diagnosis, installation, or tuning. A Freesky-authorized representative will determine whether a part qualifies as a warranty replacement.

4. What Is Not Covered

These are expected to wear with normal use and are not treated as defects:

Continued use of the eBike after damage or abnormal operation is detected

  4. Normal Life-Cycle Degradation

Battery capacity gradually decreasing with age and cycles, when still within a reasonable range for its age and usage
Components reaching the end of their normal service life

  5. Cosmetic Issues That Do Not Affect Safety

    Minor paint chips
    Superficial scratches or scuffs
    Sticker or decal peeling

These cosmetic issues do not affect the safety or function of the eBike. In select cases, customers may contact Freesky Canada to discuss possible partial compensation or goodwill solutions, but this is not guaranteed and is handled case by case.

Warranty coverage is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts only.

It does not provide a right to a full refund, full bike replacement, or upgrade.

Serial number of the eBike (if available)
A clear description of the issue and when it began

All warranty returns or replacements require prior written authorization from Freesky Canada.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.

  4. Packaging and Shipping

If we ask you to return a component or product, it must be shipped in its original packaging or equivalent protective packaging.

When warranted, Freesky will supply replacement parts in accordance with the coverage and shipping rules above.
Any labour or installation costs are the responsibility of the customer unless explicitly approved in writing by Freesky’s after‑sales team in Canada.

We will assess the claim and arrange repair or replacement of affected parts where appropriate.
Free accessories, promotional items, or bonus add‑ons are not eligible for replacement or compensation if scratched or damaged during transport.

Claims submitted after 7 days from the date of delivery cannot be accepted as shipping damage claims.

8. Important Safety Notice for Canadian Riders

An electric bicycle is a vehicle and must be treated with the same respect as any other road user.

  • Always follow your provincial and municipal traffic laws, including helmet regulations and age or power‑limit rules where applicable.
  • Ride defensively and adjust your speed according to road, path, and weather conditions commonly found in Canadian climates (rain, snow, ice, gravel).
  • In emergency braking situations, apply the rear brake first and then the front brake. Grabbing only the front brake at high speed can cause loss of control or a forward fall.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any substance that impairs your judgment.
  • Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a properly fitted helmet and, where appropriate, gloves and high-visibility clothing.
