8. Important Safety Notice for Canadian Riders
An electric bicycle is a vehicle and must be treated with the same respect as any other road user.
- Always follow your provincial and municipal traffic laws, including helmet regulations and age or power‑limit rules where applicable.
- Ride defensively and adjust your speed according to road, path, and weather conditions commonly found in Canadian climates (rain, snow, ice, gravel).
- In emergency braking situations, apply the rear brake first and then the front brake. Grabbing only the front brake at high speed can cause loss of control or a forward fall.
- Do not ride under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any substance that impairs your judgment.
- Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a properly fitted helmet and, where appropriate, gloves and high-visibility clothing.
